Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about SwarmGrid
What is SwarmGrid?
SwarmGrid is a multi-repo AI agent control plane for Cursor Cloud Agents. It lets you run the same task across dozens of repositories at once. Agents create branches, push code, and open PRs while you monitor and steer from a live dashboard.
How do I add my Cursor API key?
Go to Settings, then the Cursor API Key section. Enter your key from the Cursor Dashboard (cursor.com/settings) and a passphrase. The key is encrypted with your passphrase—we never store it in plain text. After saving, unlock the vault with your passphrase to run agents.
What repositories are supported?
SwarmGrid works with GitHub repositories. You need the Cursor GitHub App installed with read/write access. Branch detection uses the GitHub API; non-GitHub repos default to main.
How does the vault work?
Your Cursor API key is encrypted with a passphrase only you know. The server stores an opaque blob it cannot decrypt. When you unlock the vault, the decrypted key is stored in a short-lived session cookie (8 hours) so agents can run. Lock the vault when you're done to clear the session.
